The Bridge Street Collective Takes Melbourne, Australia!

TBSC goes overseas!

We are extremely privileged to have participated in one of coworking biggest conferences, GCUC. We travelled around Melbourne with our good friends from BizDojo + CoLo.Life to meet other coworking founders and operators. Interviewing and networking different coworking spaces was very encouraging and eye opening. Coming from Nelson, we were relieved that bigger spaces face the same challenges as we do. We met so many incredible people and we can’t wait to attend our next GCUC Unconference.

Check out CoLo.Life’s blog post about here from their experience!

We met with Suzanne Vale, the founder of JamJar Coworking located in Collingwood. Her space is newly renovated with new desks and ergonomic chairs, showers, and an amazing kitchen. The terrace outside is a wonderful feature and we know whoever joins the JamJar family will absolutely feel at home. We enjoyed getting to know Suzanne and see her newly open space. It was an honour to be asked by CoLo.Life to speak on their CoLo Convos event! I rubbed shoulders with some of Australia’s top entrepreneurs Inspire9’s Conrad Tracey, Hub Australia’s Brad Krauskopf, Innovation Melbourne’s Taylor Tran, Pausefest’s George Hedon, Mevo’s Erik Zydervelt, Hosted at Inspire9 in Richmond, we all got to share about our ideas ideas, our journey in coworking and what lessons we’ve learnt along the way. We live streamed and we had viewers from all across the globe. It was a wonderful turn out and a lot of genuine connections were made. We love that coworking brings so many different people together. Photo by: Hollie Arnett

GUCU hosted coworking operators, owners and supporters from all the globe. We met so inspiring people who are passionate about community building, supporting local innovation sectors and empowering local businesses. We walked away more fuelled to keep growing the community in Nelson and to add more value into the CBD. Attending this conference allowed us to re-energize to and head back to The Collective more equipped and ready to take the business to the next level.

We cannot reccomened GCUC more to anyone who is passionate about coworking and the coworking community. We met the most inspiring people and we are excited to implement what we’ve learned into our space. We walked away with new friends from around the world and we can’t wait to see how coworking spaces transform cities and communities.
