Big changes at The Bridge Street Collective.
The Bridge Street Collective prepares to say some hard goodbyes to their highly respected manager Christine Donaldson. Towards the end of June, Christine and her husband David are jetting off to her homeland of Canada. She departs the Collective after joining in 2016 and journeying through some of its busiest years including major renovations and the development of Kirby Lane.
Christine leaves a vibrant coworking and community space in the heart of Nelson. Creating the summer hit Kirby Fridays, relocating the Farmer’s Market back into the CBD and taking the Collective from a handful of members to a thriving hub. Christine’s forward thinking and networking will be sorely missed. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours and a massive thank you for curating, fostering and creating such a positive impact on countless people.
The Bridge Street Collective is very thrilled to welcome their new Studio Manager, Keegan Jeffries.
He is excited to dive in and to take on the ever-growing momentum of The Collective and Kirby Lane. Born and raised in Nelson, Keegan has a passion to see our city grow and develop into a fresh and thriving destination. He sees The Collective and Kirby Lane as a vital part in attracting and retaining talent. Already establishing connections with key innovative players, Keegan is ready to add his experience, passion and new ideas into the community that was founded at 111 Bridge Street.
We would love to get Keegan connected to the wider city and meet all the creative, artistic and innovative people that make Nelson so unique and amazing. He is working on some exciting new initiatives to help build on the momentum of Kirby Fridays and to foster the vibrant community-focused event space. He looks forward to hosting events like Mākete Pō and other regular events to support local organizations in creating a unique space overflowing with creativity and culture.
If you are keen to be involved with what Keegan and the team at the Collective are doing, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
